Be Pure Beauty Arrives in Chapel Hill

Introducing Be Pure Beauty

Many of you are familiar with the clean eating trend, but have you ever heard of “clean beauty?” Much like clean eating, clean beauty refers to products that are mindfully created and produced without any harmful toxins or ingredients. Much to our delight, there’s a store that sells these wonderful, natural products. Say hello to Chapel Hill’s first all-natural beauty bar — Be Pure Beauty.

Be Pure BeautyThe store’s first location opened in Durham at Southpoint Crossing in 2016. However, they recently moved to University Place to accommodate more customers.

The company believes that pure beauty is about your inner well-being in addition to your outer appearance. Additionally, they believe in helping customers shop safely for natural products. They conduct extensive research and figure out what ingredients are going in to each product. There is a special focus on carrying cruelty-free, organic and natural botanical, synthetic-free, and American-made products. Afterwards, the store provides information about its products to customers.

Great Variety of Brands

Alima eye shadowThe shop has a variety of natural products including makeup, skincare items, bath products, and vegan/gluten-free beauty options. Some of the brands offered include 100% Pure, Acure, Alima Pure, EcoThriver, and Yarok — just to name a few!

Be Pure Beauty consciously curates the best “green beauty” from brands that use clean ingredients and therefore partner with those who aim to keep the planet safe.

Five-Step Process

Because pure and safe beauty is the goal for all people and the planet, there is a five-step process at Be Pure Beauty to ensure that this mission is met:

  • 1) Rigorous Screening — They read the labels for you, checking the ingredients and running them through two databases.
  • 2) The No List — They ban the dirty ingredients.
  • 3) Responsibly Sourced — They believe in cruelty-free cosmetics and sustainable-sourced ingredients. All ingredients are plant-sourced, natural or organic.
  • 4) Pure Transparency — The brands carried need to have transparency for the safety of customers. Having the facts about ingredients in the products will allow Be Pure Beauty to share those facts with customers.
  • 5) Educate yourself — The store constantly learns about new ingredients and how they affect our health and wellness.

Giving Back

In addition to supporting natural, non-toxic brands, the store also supports One Tree Planted, 5 Gyres, Charity Water, 1% for the Planet, Table NC, and other local organizations. They believe that “giving back is just what is right.”
