I always hate to read news about such longtime local retailers closing up shop in the Triangle area. Cameron Village announced yesterday that The Party Shop and Accipiter will be closing soon. We hope that the soon-to-be-vacated storefronts will be home to fellow small businesses again next!
From the Cameron Village email:
Farewell to the Party Shop
“Sadly, the Party Shop is closing. But the party is still going on! Starting today, January 5, all merchandise will be 30-50% off. Come share your best wishes with Cora and the crew. They have been in the business of making your parties come alive for 58 years!”
Goodbye, Accipiter!
“Another tough goodbye. Accipiter is closing this Saturday. For many years, Accipiter’s owner Sandy and his family have been bringing interesting lighting, trinkets, and gifts to Raleigh. Be sure to stop in and give them a warm farewell and tell them how much their unique store has meant to you. It sure has meant a lot to the Village.”
The following note is also shared on the Accipiter website:
“Accipiter closes for good Jan 7th. Yes, we are retiring and Accipiter is riding off into the sunset. For 29 years we have shared births, deaths, marriages and lots of laughter. We have watched your children grow up & you, ours. You have enabled our store to thrive and for that, we will always be grateful. Please stop by, share some memories and let us say good bye in person.”
Please join us in wishing these local small businesses owners the best in their well-deserved retirements and next ventures!
