There has been a good bit of buzz in local media the last month about the addition of a new bottle shop, right next to a locally-owned running shop, to an otherwise abandoned area of Hillsborough Street – the 400 block. I can’t wait to see a bit of life in this area bridging Glenwood South and Fayeteville Street districts come winter!

The short and sweet from all three articles: the new running store will be called “Runologie” and the new bottle shop “State of Beer”. Runologie is co-owned by competitive runners Kimberlie Fowler Meeker and Laura Berry; State of Beer by Chris Powers, Woody Lockwood and Fowler Meeker’s husband David Meeker, who all co-own Busy Bee Cafe and Trophy Brewing.
A pretty non-existent website is up now at http://bottleshopraleigh.com/. No site yet for Runologie.
