Join The Sierra Club and Redress Raleigh for an event highlighting how many different aspects of the environment and humanity are affected by the clothes we purchase.
The apparel industry is the 2nd largest polluter in the word behind Big Oil – why is that? What can we do about it? The True Cost documentary explores the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the industry is having on our world – particularly the human and environmental costs. Filmed all over the world, from the runway to the factory floor, this movie is an eye opening journey about who really pays the price for our clothing.
Light refreshments will be provided; event will be at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh and will start at 7:30pm. Please RSVP at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-true-cost-film-screening-tickets-26288140536!
