Our friends at Bald Head Blues have put down brick-and-mortar roots right here in Raleigh and I could not be more excited for them!
Check out these pictures from their friends and family opening party back in September for a first look at the new store:
The boutique, located in Five Points, features Bald Head Blues’ “clothing for coasting” collection, as well as other North Carolina brands like Olly Oxen, Native Look, Blue Claw, Yeti, Knockarounds, Susan Shaw Jewelry, and more.
A Bit About the Brands
Bald Head Blues
Bald Head Blues is a clothing Brand launched April 2014 with a retail store on Bald Head Island, NC and carried boundary-less with the website BaldHeadBlues.com. You can find the menswear, women’s apparel, and accessories brand at seven retail stores and in the spring, North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh and Bald Head Island Club will join to make nine. Native
An appreciation for unique textiles and tapestries inspired the Native line. During the summer of 2014, Kate Ward began stitching pieces of carpets together at her kitchen table and Native was born. Launched in early 2015, each Native piece is a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted find featuring a different design from new & antique tapestry. Born and raised in North Carolina, Kate lives and works in Raleigh.
Olly Oxen
Olly Oxen was launched in 2009 by Charlotte Guice, our CEO and the youngest of three siblings, to create apparel and accessories that are collegiate, American, and classic. Our simple and elegant, yet rugged style gives our products a range that lets you wear them during many stages of your life- anywhere from the tailgate as a student, the office on your first day, to being a proud parent of a future student. The company has since grown into a family business as we older brothers, Hunter and Cameron Guice, have joined Charlotte as the COO and CFO. We design all of our products in our Raleigh, NC studio and most of them are proudly made in the USA.
Stop in and visit Claude and the gang at 2003-B Fairview Road – the store is located in the former Crafty storefront (which has now moved just a few doors down to a bigger location). A much-needed addition to the menswear scene in Raleigh, this store has got something for everyone – especially the laid-back men in your life, ladies!
