Three cheers for Raleigh, NC-based lighting designer Louise Gaskill for being featured not only in the Oct/Nov print edition of Garden & Gun Magazine (I pick up the magazine nearly every time I’m in an airport for my in-flight entertainment), but also on their “Daily Shot” Southern Sourcebook blog post last month.
On her website, Louise describes her lighting fixtures as:
“[Beginning] with distinctive components from vintage lighting. They are finished with hand applied gold or silver leaf and always incorporate the exquisite glass that has become so central to my work. The results are extraordinarily unique lamps and chandeliers that are somewhat vintage in feel, but new and fresh in design.
All are handmade in her Raleigh, NC studio.
