Southern Season has always been worth the drive to Chapel Hill’s University Mall, but shoppers in Raleigh and Charlotte won’t have to head to the Thrill when the gourmet food and gift retailer opens two smaller format stores as “pop-up shops” in November.
According to Triangle Business Journal, “Southern Season will be opening a 5,000-square-foot store in the Cameron Village shopping center” on Nov. 8 and it’ll remain open through Jan. 15 in the space being vacated by Victorian Rose Bridals.
Regarding the Charlotte location, TBJ notes the location to be in the Village at SouthPark beginning Nov. 1 and that location will be open for business through Jan. 5., also serving as a “preview for the 50,000-square-foot store that Southern Season is planning to open in Charlotte in late 2016”.
Also getting a newsworthy nod from TBJ recently, Southern Season has partnered with “A Chef’s Life” (PBS show about Kinston, NC restaurant Chef & the Farmer) star and chef Vivian Howard for a line of namesake products. The chef says these products represent her favorite picks for this holiday season. Products range from a “Childhood Memories” collection to a “Carolina Grits Sampler”.
