The Downtown Raleigh Alliance is bringing farm fresh produce back to Downtown Raleigh’s City Plaza (400 block of Fayetteville St.) again this summer – officially kicking off the weekly market on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 with the a Pig Pickin’ Kickoff from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Enjoy eastern North Carolina barbecue from The Pit BBQ, a local craft beer tasting from Crank Arm Brewing Co., and connect with quality growers and food artisans from around North Carolina.
A press conference will be held at 12:00 p.m. with presentations from David Diaz, President and CEO of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and Dr. Ramon Rojano, the Director of Wake County Human Services.
