Ok ladies, today is for you! If you missed our {Trend Report} Spring 2014 Style Statements from Belk’s Arlene Goldstein last week or yesterday’s {Trend Report} Belk’s Men’s Most Wanted – Spring 2014, now’s a great time to catch up on those reports before diving into today’s feature: the most wanted looks for women. At the end of this three-post series, you’ll be the ultimate source in your circle for what’s on trend this season.
- While most colors for spring go soft and light, black and white aren’t making a style exit anytime soon
- A boxy top with flattering shorts or fitted pants work with flats, wedges or chunky heels
- Trade out your winter boots for chunky heels this season
- Permission to add to your purse collection granted – make sure you have a ladylike style in your purse portfolio!
- Love necklaces? Layer them on this spring!
- The maxi remains a must in 2014 and works for all day and night looks
- Shed the heavy outerwear and tights in favor of showing off spring break legs with shift dresses
- Sleeveless jackets keep your look polished, but comfortable, no matter the office climate.
- Soft pants you could live in – but try not to sleep in them – these are for out and about looks!
- Updated jackets take your look from morning to chill, to warm days, all the way through cool evenings
I have been collecting great maxi skirts and chunky heels all off-season in hopes that they’d make a solid appearance this spring and it looks like I have placed my betting budget in the best place – right where I can see it… hanging in my closet!
What are your personal favorites from this season’s list?
Thanks to Belk and Arlene Goldstein, as always, for the opportunity to share these looks with iheartretail.com readers each season. We’ll see you in the fall!
