A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending a trend forecasting session with Belk’s Vice President of Trend Merchandising and Fashion Direction, Arlene Goldstein.
Belk (privately-owned and headquartered right here in NC, in Charlotte) was kind enough to roll out the red carpet for attendees, giving us an exclusive sneak peek of their Fall 2013 offerings for men’s and women’s apparel, footwear, and accessories. I’ll break all of them down for you this week here on iheartretail.com, starting with the Top 10 Most Wanted style statement pieces for Men’s Fall 2013 fashion today!

As with all fashion photography, take the above style images with a grain of salt and as inspiration for fall fashion success. The head-to-toe wine look? Probably not for everyone (or, ahem, anyone…), but guys… take a chance on the rich hue this fall in a fine gauge sweater or plaid button down in wine and pair it with five pocket or cordurory pants in khaki, brown, or blue.
And don’t miss stocking up on heathered tees in a wide assortment of colors. I can tell you from personal experience that there is just nothing better than the feel of a super-soft shirt on my man’s chest! 🙂
Don’t forget two of the easiest ways to dress up any casual look – the english country tie and the sport coat/jacket. Keep one or two of these at your disposal and you’ll be ready to head anywhere at a moment’s notice and feel like one of the best dressed guys in the room.
