the iheart retail enews(Ahem, I’m looking at you neighbor across the street with the Christmas lights up already.)

While I myself am a “no Christmas music before the day after Thanksgiving” kind of girl, I can’t help but love seeing all of my favorite local retailers getting their stores ready for the holidays with festive decorations, new lines for the season, and you guessed it… holiday shopping events and specials!

This weekend (starting tonight!) marks the official holiday season kick off for many of the area’s local shopping desinations and the events and special savings are sure to keep coming in full force right through the New Year’s sales… so be a great friend and remind those around you to join us on facebook and sign up for the email newsletter so no one misses out on all the fun!

Raleigh’s Cameron Village is hosting their always popular holiday open house event tonight from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. The North Hills family is gearing up for the Holiday Sip & Stroll this Third Thursday! Stroll the sidewalks, sip on some warm drinks, and shop ’til you drop. The shops are open just for you until 8:00pm with the latest holiday trends, gifts, and goodies.

While there, why not take the opportunity support Camp Firefly (created by Kirk Cameron, from Growing Pains and Fireproof) and give terminally-ill children and their families the chance to have fun at an all-expense paid summer camp? The CAPCOMMUNITY of CAPTRUST Financial Advisors and North Hills are banding together to help. With a silent auction and donation locations at the shops, you can help, too!

At Dress on Glenwood South, the party kicks off at 6:00pm! Customers can enjoy food, drinks, and music from a live DJ! Dress is located at 14 Glenwood Avenue in Downtown Raleigh.

Live television coverage begins at 10 a.m. The parade will continue down Fayetteville Street and conclude at the intersection of Fayetteville and Lenoir streets.
