As mentioned almost weekly here, Jennifer Bringle’s Stylin’ column in the Monday morning Lifestyle section of the N&O is pretty much the only thing I read without fail every single week. Why? Because she’s got the best local tidbits in print, right alongside Sue Stock… another one of my N&O favorites! (It also helps that it comes right to my email inbox every Monday morning, too. ;-))
Here are my local favorites who made this week’s paper:
Elaine Miller Collection {Raleigh} in the Lassiter at North Hills will host a Mazza and Company trunk show Tuesday and Wednesday.
At Joint Venture Jewelry {Cary}, more than 50 antique pieces – including Victorian opal earrings, carved black jade and amethyst rings – will be on display during a jewelry show through November 10, 2010. During the event, all pieces in the collection are 25 percent off.
Do something to help local pets and save Sunday at ReTails Thrift Shop‘s {Raleigh} monthly Clean Sweep sale. Everything will be 50 percent off in the resale shop, which benefits the nonprofit AnimalKind.
While designer consignment has worked for boutique Dress {Raleigh}, the shop has recently changed things up a bit, blending a few brand-new collections with its consignment pieces. New offerings include pieces from Wish, Theme, Lost April, and MM Couture. And for all the local sports fans, Dress also has added looks from Tailgate Couture – a line of team apparel in the form of comfortable, feminine dresses.
That is just a small selection of Jen’s scoops this week. Read all of the local shopping details in this week’s Stylin’ column online at http://www.newsobserver.com/2010/10/25/756029/lauren-conrads-paper-crown-goes.html.
