Must Attend Events this December

You know, we sure thought November was the month to be, based on the great selection of local events we had to choose from last month.

Well not so fast, because December is here… and ready to put up some serious competition! Here are some local happenings that are coming up quickly and are not to be missed.

December 2nd – David Yurman Trunk Show
Bailey’s Fine Jewelry – {Cameron Village – Raleigh}

Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm

Bailey’s Fine Jewelry is hosting a David Yurman Trunk Show on Dec. 2 from noon until 5 p.m. The trunk show provides holiday shoppers a chance to choose from a wide selection of David Yurman pieces, and is also a great opportunity for David Yurman fans to see unique and new items, including fashion trends for the upcoming year.

There will be enticing pieces included in this special show, featuring new and exciting color stones that Bailey’s does not normally carry. They will also have some great new pieces from the Berry Confetti Collection (Berry Confetti necklace pictured at right)!

{PS} – This event is free to attend!

For more information, contact Bailey’s Fine Jewelry by phone at (919) 829-7337 or online at www.BaileyBox.com.

December 3rd, 4th, & 5th – Cary Academy Holiday Shoppe
Cary Academy, Special Event featuring Various Retailers & Vendors – {Cary}

Wednesday, Dec. 7 – 7:00pm*

Thursday, Dec. 3 from 10:00am until 5:00pm

Friday, Dec. 4 from 10:00am until 5:00pm & 6:30pm until 9:00pm

Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10:00am until 4:00pm

Cary Academy is hosting their annual holiday shopping fundraiser event from December 3rd until December 5th on the campus of the Cary school.

About 85% of the event vendors come from Wake County. Some are locally owned retail shops, like Henry’s Gelato and Omega Sports, while others are individual artisans with pottery, jewelry, etc.

They loosely classify their merchandise offerings at the event in the following categories: jewelry, home accessories and furniture, art, food, men/boys/sports, holiday, health and beauty, children (includes toys, clothing, and décor), women’s clothing and accessories, and pet items.

Gift certificates to local retailers and restaurants will also be available for purchase, too!

Because the event is a fundraiser for a not-for-profit (providing scholarships for need-based students at Cary Academy), they do not charge sales tax on purchases, in essence, giving you shoppers an extra deal on your purchases.

Questions? Call the Holiday Hotline at 919-228-4653.

The event has a central checkout for most things (only exceptions are book vendor and immediately consumable food items), and accept cash, checks and credit cards – no debit cards (unless they display the Visa or MasterCard logos). Do bring cash for some delicious gelato, though!

* Want to shop without the little ones (or everyone else’s little ones)? Enjoy the Holiday Shoppe’s Sip-n-Shoppe preview party on Dec. 2 at 7:00pm and get a sneak peek at all the offerings, with complimentary wine, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts, too! (Must be 21 to attend.)  Fill out this form to get your tickets.

{PS} They do not charge admission other than for the preview party, so this event is totally worth checking out any of the days that it’s open!
