Local Retailers Going Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness This Month

Take 10% Off with Breast Cancer Awareness at Lilies & Lace (Wilmington): October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In effort to raise awareness and encourage creating an early detection plan, Lilies and Lace is offering 10% off any bra to anyone that mentions Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Donations to Charity with Aqua After Hours Sign Up: Aqua Fedora (Wilmington): Sign up for Aqua After Hours any time this month, and 10% of the group’s purchase will be donated to a charity of your choosing. Let’s do a little something to help, and have lots of fun doing it!

Save the Ta-tas merchandise at Whalebone Surf Shop & Whalebone Urban Surf (Nags Head and Raleigh): Save the Ta-tas® Foundation funds cancer research by way of the Concern Foundation. Since 1968, Concern Foundation has raised well over $41 million dollars to cultivate outstanding young scientists and to sustain the progress in prevention and treatment of cancer. Sale of branded Save the Ta-tas merchandise supports this fundraising program.

During the month of October. bevello (locations in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Greenville, Fayetteville, Wilmington, Charlotte, Huntersville) is teaming up with Chaser Brand to sell tank top shirts: Chaser will be donating 10% of sales of the tank to the American Cancer Society. bevello will also donate 10% of sales of the tank to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Use the hashtag “#bvechasercure” and tell bevello why you choose purchase the shirt – is it for a loved one or in memory of someone?

Island Passage (Wilmington): Visit the Bald Head Island store on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for pink bubbly and shopping. When you make a donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation, Island Passage will give you that amount in a discount off one item. $10=10%, $25=25%, up to 50% off

Flywheel Cameron Village: This October, Flywheel has also partnered with Bright Pink, an organization dedicated to saving women’s lives breast and ovarian cancer by empowering them to live proactively at a young age, to once again show its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A limited time Flywheel x Bright Pink sweatshirt is available now in studios nationwide, including Raleigh. All proceeds from the sweatshirt sales will go directly to Bright Prink.
