fashionSPARK’s has announced its 2012 fashion show and jewelrySPARK jewelry trunk show, both taking place during SPARKcon, Raleigh’sgrassroots “creative potluck†convention featuring creative themes such as art, music, film, fashion and technology.
fashionSPARK {Raleigh} is in full swing as it prepares for its 7th year hosting the Triangle’s most popular event, a live runway fashion show, which will be held on Thursday, September 13th at 8pm at the Raleigh
Amphitheater, 500 South McDowell Street, Raleigh. This year, fashionSPARK organizers have decided to give jewely it’s own trunk show, which will occur on Friday, September 14th from 8-10pm at VAE, 309 W. Martin St., Raleigh.
jewelrySPARK will highlight Raleigh’s most stunning jewelry designers while fashionSPARK will continue to feature the triangles’s top fashion designers.
fashionSPARK designers include Belinda page Blakely, Candice Organ, CHA Designs by April Morgan, Julkee ~ Elements of India by Julie Kathrotia, Lumina Clothing, and many more. jewelrySPARK designers include Elisabeth Newton, Emily Claire LLC, Johanna Ely (featured designer), and a wealth of others.
Visual Art Exchange produces SPARKcon as part of its mission to support and provide opportunities for artists and connect the community to the arts. This festival gives an unusual opportunity for the community to be directly involved with a public art project in downtown Raleigh. SPARKcon is unique because it is an event fully created by artists, who are encouraged to use their unique creative talents to create their own programs. SPARKcon was founded in 2006 by Aly and Beth Khalifa.
